Introduced from China in the in the mid-nineteenth century. An ideal shrub for brightening up your garden in winter, with fragrant cream coloured semi-double flowers appearing on bare stems. Oval dark green leaves start to emerge after flowering along with dark berries.
Plant it where you can enjoy the sweet fragrance, in partial shade or sunny aspect.
