Softening the Front of House with Colourful Planting - Hornby Garden Design - Garden Designer in Shropshire
Monday, December 3, 2012 at 14:15
As part of the design brief we were asked to soften the patio and brick work of this converted farmhouse, with year round colour. The south facing aspect leads itself well to a climbing rose, underplanted with bulbs / annuals; the cherry tree will grow to five metres in height with a lovely pink blossom in the spring; the pyracantha gives evergreen colour throughout the year with a flush of orange in the winter months. The inclusion of three well designed pots adds further to breaking up the dominant patio.
