The Brief - lots of colour, low maintenance. And we have delivered just that!
A low maintenance planting scheme for a new golf club foyer in Solihull, which boasts evergreen and deciduous shrubs. Perennials flower against the foil of shrubs to provide further colour throughout the growing season.
Within those shrubs we have varied their form so they are not all an 'A typical' rounded mound, with Sambucus nigra and Fatsia japonica lending a palmate leaf form, and Mahonia spiny leaflets.
By specifiying a topiary pruned Privet Pom Pom either side of the entrance, we have harmoniously integrated golf with the planting plan.
A low growing minimalist grass - Hackonechloa macra 'Aureola' planted around the base of the topiary, to provide light and airy billowing drifts without spoiling its divine quality.
