Shady corners can be hard to get right but once achieved the results can be wonderful.
Here we have worked with the client to provide low maintenance year round colour in a shaded area of the garden, which was proving difficult to mow.
The Hydrangea with its tall stems will provide seasonal colour above the existing planting of Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' and Euonymus 'Ovatus Aureus'.
Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' is a compact evergreen shrub, with panicles of red buds in late winter which open to fragrant white flowers in spring.
Euonymus 'Ovatus Aureus' a wonderful evergreen shrub with yellow and green leaves.
Hydrangea paniculata will provide dense clusters of long lasting flowers in mid-summer on upright sturdy stems.
